Ship Performance Monitoring

1st Nov 2017

SeaQuest has adopted a new software for voyage reporting and ship performance monitoring, aiming to improve the operational performance of vessels in the managed fleet.

Navigator Insight by DNV-GL was chosen among the new generation systems: the software includes an onboard module with intelligent validation to prevent implausible data or reporting errors; data collected onboard are elaborated in an onshore server for further evaluation by company’s management. The performance monitoring system is integrated within SeaQuest processes to focus on key management aspects such as fuel consumption, operating costs, environmental footprints, and complies with incoming EU-MRV regulation.

“The new ship performance monitoring software was carefully selected considering the needs of our clients and the type & size of their ships – says Massimo De Vincenzo, director of SeaQuest Genoa office – We believe that our comprehensive performance monitoring system is beneficial for a more accurate control of vessels’ operational parameters, thus improving the quality of our service, the energy efficiency and environmental performance of SeaQuest managed fleet and assists in cutting operational costs.”
